The Flanders NaturalAire Standard Air Filter is made of a one-sided metal-reinforced pleated media. This filter tests as a MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) 8 rating through ASHRAE 52.2 testing methods. Housed in a recyclable clay-coated moisture resistant frame, the NaturalAire MERV 8 Air Filter uses a mechanical media that maintains the minimum listed efficiency through the 90-day service life of the filter. This filter captures particles as small as 1 microns and is effective against the following contaminants: pet dander, mold spores, dust mite debris, pollen, household dust, as well as debris and lint.

Housed in a 1-Inch recyclable clay-coated moisture resistant frame, the NaturalAire MERV 8 uses a mechanical media that maintains the minimum listed efficiency through the life of the filter. Carter Gold Frame filters are made with two layers of anti-microbial woven polypropylene, self-charging electrostatic fibers. This Nordic Pure allergen reduction pleated air filter has a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value(MERV) of 10 which means that it will collect more than 85-percent of 3.0-10.0 microns of contaminants and up to 65-percent of particles 1.0-3.0 microns. Particles in indoor air are measured in microns, which are 1/1000 of a millimeter. A human hair is about 70 microns wide. The higher the MERV rating, the better the air filter can filter out all airborne particulates. Remember not all HVAC systems can handle the higher MERV ratings.
